applicable to commercial or residential buildings or construction. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Chapter 382, Health and Safety Code, is amended | ||
by adding Subchapter L to read as follows: | ||
SUBCHAPTER L. REGULATION OF HYDROFLUOROCARBONS | ||
Sec. 382.551. SUBSTITUTES FOR HYDROFLUOROCARBON | ||
REFRIGERANTS APPLICABLE TO COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS OR | ||
CONSTRUCTION. A building code or other requirement applicable to | ||
commercial or residential buildings or construction may not | ||
prohibit the use of a substitute refrigerant authorized pursuant to | ||
42 U.S.C. 7671k. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2023. |
