WHEREAS, Keith Arthur Bryant of Georgetown has attained the | ||
rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special | ||
recognition; and | ||
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant | ||
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the | ||
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding | ||
criteria, Mr. Bryant earned 25 merit badges, and he took part in 42 | ||
service projects totaling 129 hours of volunteer work; in addition, | ||
he successfully completed an Eagle Scout project in which he | ||
organized the removal of invasive reeds along the San Gabriel | ||
River; and | ||
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan is a freshman at Georgetown | ||
High School and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church; he | ||
has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his | ||
scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of his fellow | ||
scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting | ||
offers; and | ||
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Bryant's dedication to excellence and | ||
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy | ||
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with | ||
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That Keith Arthur Bryant be congratulated on | ||
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and that he be extended sincere | ||
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Bryant as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
