| WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has ably served her fellow Texans as an | ||
| intern in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during | ||
| the summer of 2021; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kotla has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; | ||
| in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public | ||
| service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the | ||
| issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Kotla currently attends Obra D. Tompkins High | ||
| School, where she has distinguished herself through her involvement | ||
| in numerous extracurricular activities, including the Future | ||
| Business Leaders of America, UNICEF, BETA, and Model United Nations | ||
| clubs; an accomplished public speaker, she has given a TED-Ed | ||
| student talk and participated in debate competitions at the state | ||
| and national levels, and she is the founder of the Vayana Speech and | ||
| Debate Institute; moreover, she has served as a congressional | ||
| campaign intern; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has performed her duties as an intern | ||
| with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special | ||
| recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Loukya Kotla for | ||
| her service as an intern in the office of State Representative Jacey | ||
| Jetton and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success | ||
| in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Kotla as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
