WHEREAS, The 69th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed | ||
cause for celebration, and Raul Liendo marked that special | ||
milestone on November 9, 2023; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born in 1954, Mr. Liendo earned a bachelor's degree | ||
in government from The University of Texas at Austin; he is | ||
currently in his 15th year with Oncor, and he previously served as a | ||
legislative consultant for TXU Energy and as a member of the staff | ||
for the Texas Senate and House of Representatives; fondly known as | ||
"Tio Raul" to his friends at the State Capitol, he has earned the | ||
respect and admiration of lawmakers and staff alike for his wise | ||
mentorship and extensive knowledge of the legislature; and | ||
WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Liendo treasures time spent with | ||
his five children and five grandchildren; in his leisure hours, he | ||
enjoys learning about history and writing music and short stories; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Raul Liendo may | ||
reflect with pride on his wide-ranging accomplishments and on the | ||
many significant contributions he has made in behalf of his fellow | ||
citizens; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Raul Liendo on | ||
the occasion of his 69th birthday and extend to him sincere best | ||
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Liendo as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
