| WHEREAS, Bailey Schumm has ably served her fellow citizens as | ||
| a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie | ||
| Rodriguez during the 85th Texas Legislature; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Schumm has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, | ||
| including performing casework and logging constituent feedback, | ||
| researching and tracking legislation, preparing floor briefs, and | ||
| meeting with advocacy groups; in addition to gaining valuable | ||
| experience in the field of public service, she has learned more | ||
| about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the | ||
| Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A junior at The University of Texas at Austin, | ||
| Ms. Schumm is majoring in public health and aspires to attain a | ||
| master's degree in the same field; her academic achievements have | ||
| earned her the title of Distinguished College Scholar in the | ||
| College of Natural Sciences, and she is the recipient of an Archer | ||
| Fellowship, which will enable her to travel to Washington, D.C., to | ||
| further her studies and her professional experience; during her | ||
| time at UT, she has also served as president of the University | ||
| Democrats; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her | ||
| duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
| indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Bailey Schumm for her service as a | ||
| legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie | ||
| Rodriguez and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Schumm as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
