R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Charles Ray Williams of Irving, who passed away on May 19, 2011,
  at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, Born on August 20, 1929, in Dallas to Ernest Ray and
  Addye Mae Murray Williams, Chuck Williams established a notable
  career with AT&T, spending 42 years with the company before
  retiring; he was also active in his community as a director of a
  city baseball league and through his involvement in the Boy Scouts;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Williams enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife, Mable, with whom he shared 62
  rewarding years of marriage, and the couple raised four children,
  Sandy, Johnny, Jim, and Kenny; affectionately known as "Papa" by
  his grandchildren and "Grampy" by his great-grandchildren, he was a
  devoted family man who loved to welcome people into his home; his
  favorite pastimes included solitaire and fishing at the coast, and
  he was a big fan of John Wayne movies and the Dallas Cowboys; and
         WHEREAS, Chuck Williams possessed a generosity of spirit that
  expressed itself in myriad ways, and many lives were enriched by his
  warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Charles Ray Williams and extend sincere sympathy to the members
  of his family: to his wife, Mable Jean Reding Williams; to his
  daughter, Sandy Kisinger, and her husband, Clyde; to his sons,
  Johnny Williams and his wife, Cindy, Jim Williams and his wife,
  Susan, and Kenny Williams and his wife, Cathy; to his seven
  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Chuck
  Williams.
