WHEREAS, April 8, 2011, marked the 50th wedding anniversary | ||
of George and Frances Svatek of Temple, providing a fitting | ||
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as | ||
husband and wife; and | ||
WHEREAS, George Svatek and the former Frances Zarsky were | ||
joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held at Sacred Heart | ||
Catholic Church in Crosby; through the years, they have been | ||
blessed with a treasured family that includes a daughter, Pam | ||
Tomme, and her husband, Chris, and a son, Brad Svatek; and | ||
WHEREAS, Respected 37-year residents of the Temple | ||
community, Mr. Svatek is retired from the U.S. Department of | ||
Agriculture after three and a half decades of service, and Mrs. | ||
Svatek has been employed by St. Francis Episcopal Church and School | ||
for 36 years; and | ||
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Svatek | ||
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and | ||
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who | ||
know them; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate George and Frances Svatek on their | ||
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes | ||
for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Svatek as an expression of high regard by | ||
the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
