R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has greatly benefited the
  youth of her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta
  Independent School District Board of Trustees; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime YISD volunteer, Ms. McLean was appointed
  in November 2010 as the District 7 trustee and elected to the
  position in 2011; she has served as board president since 2013; she
  currently represents the district at the Rio Grande Council of
  Governments and on the Central Appraisal District Board; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. McLean graduated from The University of Texas at
  El Paso and went on to enjoy a notable career in the banking
  industry; a member of the Texas Association of School Boards
  Legislative Council, she is also secretary for the Far West Texas
  School Boards Association, and she previously served on the Region
  19 Honor Board; and
         WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has demonstrated a steadfast
  commitment to building a bright and promising future for local
  children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and
  appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Patricia Torres McLean for her service on
  the Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. McLean as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
