| WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has greatly benefited the | ||
| youth of her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta | ||
| Independent School District Board of Trustees; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A longtime YISD volunteer, Ms. McLean was appointed | ||
| in November 2010 as the District 7 trustee and elected to the | ||
| position in 2011; she has served as board president since 2013; she | ||
| currently represents the district at the Rio Grande Council of | ||
| Governments and on the Central Appraisal District Board; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. McLean graduated from The University of Texas at | ||
| El Paso and went on to enjoy a notable career in the banking | ||
| industry; a member of the Texas Association of School Boards | ||
| Legislative Council, she is also secretary for the Far West Texas | ||
| School Boards Association, and she previously served on the Region | ||
| 19 Honor Board; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Patricia Torres McLean has demonstrated a steadfast | ||
| commitment to building a bright and promising future for local | ||
| children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and | ||
| appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor Patricia Torres McLean for her service on | ||
| the Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best | ||
| wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. McLean as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
