WHEREAS, Ward Roddam was named Firefighter of the Year by the | ||
Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department on February 21, 2015, and this | ||
prestigious honor reflects the high esteem in which he is held by | ||
his peers; and | ||
WHEREAS, Presented during the annual police officer and | ||
firefighter appreciation event at the Rockdale Knights of Columbus | ||
Hall, the winner of the Firefighter of the Year accolade is selected | ||
from a pool of worthy candidates by members of the RVFD; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Roddam has worked diligently in behalf of his | ||
department and his fellow citizens for more than a quarter-century, | ||
and he currently leads the RVFD as fire chief; and | ||
WHEREAS, Chief Roddam has earned the respect and admiration | ||
of many for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to | ||
public safety, and he may indeed take pride in his outstanding | ||
contributions to the city of Rockdale; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Ward Roddam on being named | ||
Firefighter of the Year by the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department | ||
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Chief Roddam as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
