| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 171, Election Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 171.0211 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 171.0211. OPEN MEETINGS. Meetings of a county | ||
| executive committee are subject to Chapter 551, Government Code. | ||
| SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
| to a meeting held on or after September 1, 2017. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
