A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the failure of a property owners' association to file
  all dedicatory instruments of a residential subdivision as public
  records.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 202.006, Property Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
         (c)  A property owners' association may not collect a regular
  assessment, as defined by Section 209.002, if the dedicatory
  instruments are not filed as required by Subsection (a).
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
