| relating to the eligibility of certain persons to participate in | ||
| the retirement systems of certain municipalities. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 1, Chapter 88 (H.B. 1573), Acts of the | ||
| 77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001 (Article 6243h, Vernon's | ||
| Texas Civil Statutes), is amended by adding Subdivision (11-a) to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (11-a) "Employee" does not include a full-time | ||
| employee of a local government corporation or other entity created | ||
| by or acting on behalf of a municipality if the local government | ||
| corporation or other entity has not agreed to participate in the | ||
| pension system. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
