| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 21.128, Labor Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (a-1) For purposes of Subsection (a), "reasonable workplace | ||
| accommodation" includes any technology, hardware, or software, or | ||
| upgrades to existing hardware or software, that would enable an | ||
| individual with a visual or hearing impairment to function properly | ||
| in the workplace. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
