A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to reasonable workplace accommodation for employees with
  certain disabilities.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 21.128, Labor Code, is amended by adding
  Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
         (a-1)  For purposes of Subsection (a), "reasonable workplace
  accommodation" includes any technology, hardware, or software, or
  upgrades to existing hardware or software, that would enable an
  individual with a visual or hearing impairment to function properly
  in the workplace.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
