BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 707.017, Transportation Code, is amended | ||
to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 707.017. REGISTRATION AFTER CIVIL PENALTY IMPOSED | ||

delinquent in the payment of a civil penalty imposed under this | ||
chapter, neither the county assessor-collector nor [ |
||
Department of Motor Vehicles may refuse to register a motor vehicle | ||
alleged to have been involved in the violation. | ||

SECTION 2. To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails | ||
over another Act of the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, | ||
relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted | ||
codes. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
