BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 61.122, Natural Resources Code, is | ||
amended by adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | ||
(d-1) The commissioners court of a county bordering on the | ||
Gulf of Mexico or its tidewater limits, by order, may regulate | ||
camping on a beach within the boundaries of the county. The county | ||
may define "camping" and restrict the length of time for which a | ||
person may camp on the beach. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
