| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 13, Water Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 13.1361 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 13.1361. WATER SUPPLY OR SEWER SERVICE CORPORATION | ||
| REPORT OF DIRECTORS. (a) The utility commission by rule shall | ||
| require each water supply or sewer service corporation to: | ||
| (1) file with the utility commission a report naming | ||
| the directors of the corporation; and | ||
| (2) in a timely manner, update the report when a new | ||
| director is appointed or elected. | ||
| (b) The utility commission may impose a penalty under | ||
| Section 13.4151 for a failure to file a report required under this | ||
| section in an amount of not more than $5,000 for each report that is | ||
| not timely filed. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
