relating to the reporting of certain information to the director of | ||
the bureau of vital statistics. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 191.024(a), Health and Safety Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(a) On the state registrar's demand, a person, including a | ||
local registrar, physician, midwife, or funeral director, who has | ||
information relating to a birth, death, or fetal death shall supply | ||
the information to the state registrar in person, by mail, or | ||
through the local registrar. The person shall supply the | ||
information on a form provided by the department or on the original | ||
certificate. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
