Summary
As enacted, expands the criminal offenses of assault and aggravated assault against a first responder or nurse who is discharging or attempting to discharge official duties to include healthcare providers and increases the penalty for assault against those persons from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class D felony. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 13.
