Summary

As introduced, allows a law enforcement officer to petition for an extreme risk protection order; requires the court to issue an extreme risk protection order if, after notice and a hearing on the petition, the court finds by clear and convincing evidence that the person poses a significant danger of causing personal injury to the person's self or others by purchasing or possessing a firearm or ammunition. - Amends TCA Title 33; Title 37; Title 38 and Title 39.
