A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 23-31-218 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A VALID CONCEALABLE WEAPONS PERMIT ISSUED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA MUST BE HONORED BY THIS STATE PER RECIPROCITY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Article 4, Chapter 31, Title 23 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 23-31-218. Notwithstanding another provision of law, a valid concealable weapons permit issued by the State of Georgia must be honored by this State per reciprocity."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
