| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending the act of December 15, 1988 (P.L.1235, No.151), |
2 | entitled "An act providing for the establishment of the |
3 | Children's Trust Fund, for a governing board and for the |
4 | powers and duties of the board; and prescribing the powers |
5 | and duties of certain State agencies," further providing for |
6 | the Children's Trust Fund. |
7 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
8 | hereby enacts as follows: |
9 | Section 1. Section 8 of the act of December 15, 1988 |
10 | (P.L.1235, No.151), known as the Children's Trust Fund Act, |
11 | amended May 31, 1990 (P.L.208, No.43), is amended to read: |
12 | Section 8. Children's Trust Fund created. |
13 | There is hereby imposed a [$10] $35 surcharge on all |
14 | applications for marriage licenses and a $25 surcharge on all |
15 | divorce complaints. These surcharges shall be paid into a |
16 | special nonlapsing Children's Trust Fund, which is established |
17 | for the purposes described in this act. Funding for existing or |
18 | ongoing services of State or local agencies shall not be |
19 | replaced by the trust fund. |
