| AN ACT |

1 | Repealing the act of April 16, 1862 (P.L.538, No.513), entitled |
2 | "An act relating to certain Children's Homes." |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. The act of April 16, 1862 (P.L.538, No.513), |
6 | entitled "An act relating to certain Children's Homes," is |
7 | repealed: |

10 | Section 1. Commitment of children to certain institutions |
11 | It shall and may be lawful for any judge, mayor, alderman or |
12 | justice of the peace of the City of Philadelphia, to indenture, |
13 | bind or commit to the St. John's Orphan Asylum, or the St. |
14 | Vincent's Home, located in the City of Philadelphia, orphan, |
15 | destitute, abandoned or vagrant children.] |
16 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
