                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

brief statement of the essential features of the measure as
introduced.

  Prohibits licensees of Oregon Liquor Control Commission from
manufacturing, importing, storing, delivering, distributing or
selling alcoholic beverages containing caffeine or containing
other substances used for increasing energy levels.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to alcoholic beverages.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2011 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 471. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + A licensee of the Oregon Liquor Control
Commission may not manufacture, import, store, deliver,
distribute or sell in this state an alcoholic beverage that has
any of the following as an ingredient:
  (1) Caffeine;
  (2) Guarana or other plants that contain caffeine;
  (3) Tuarine; or
  (4) Other substances that increase energy levels or are
commonly used for increasing energy levels. + }
