Summary

Directs Public Utility Commission, in coordination with State Department of Energy, to study and develop proposal for modifying Oregon laws as necessary to require 100 percent of electricity sold to retail electricity consumers to be electricity generated utilizing renewable and carbon-free energy. Directs Public Utility Commission, in coordination with State Department of Energy, to study and develop proposal for modifying Oregon laws as necessary to require 100 percent of electricity sold to retail electricity consumers to be electricity generated utilizing renewable and carbon-free energy. Directs commission to provide results to interim committees of Legislative Assembly no later than September 15, 2022. Sunsets January 2, 2023. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
