| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Senator Gary Cates for his loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure as a member of the Ohio Senate, Gary Cates has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Representing the 4th District, he has ably served as a member of the Highways and Transportation, Education, and Health, Human Services, and Aging committees, and with commendable determination and resolve, he has brought his talents and experience to bear on the ever-changing needs and issues of the Ohio General Assembly; and |
| WHEREAS, Gary Cates has given willingly of his time and energy far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society. His love for Ohio and his sincere desire to serve its people to the best of his ability have shown him to be a truly concerned and responsible public servant, and we are proud to note that it is through the efforts of conscientious individuals such as he that our state and nation continue to grow and prosper; and |
| WHEREAS, Election to public office is one of the highest honors that the people in a democracy can bestow upon a fellow citizen. Throughout his service as a member of the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives, Gary Cates has consistently maintained a high degree of achievement and has displayed a level of integrity and commitment that has earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues on both sides of the political aisle. Whether engaged in floor debate or in committee deliberations, he has brought a full measure of enthusiasm, intelligence, and public spirit to his duties and has effectively served his constituents and the Great State of Ohio; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Senator Gary Cates on his exemplary service to the Ohio Senate and extend best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further |
