Senators Schiavoni, Patton

A RESOLUTION
Honoring Justin Bachman for outstanding community service.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Justin Bachman for his advocacy on behalf of those with disabilities; and

WHEREAS, Justin Bachman is truly a remarkable individual, for he has combined humanitarian concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a shining example for others. A junior at Solon High School and an employee of Mitchell's Ice Cream, he is afflicted with Tourette syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and dysgraphia, and he has become a dynamic advocate for those with special needs, creating a Leadership Academy to implement an annual Tolerance Fair, becoming a public speaker, and volunteering with such organizations as the Solon Blue Ribbon program, Social Advocates for Youth, Look Up to Cleveland, the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, Project Love, and Dancing Wheels. The recipient of numerous honors and awards, he has also been involved with the National Tourette Syndrome Association, serving as one of its Youth Ambassadors, and he and his family created Honor Good Deeds to encourage and recognize the great things done by all people every day. Through his decisive leadership, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan, and we are certain that he will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to service and achievement for which he has become known; and

WHEREAS, Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities, Justin Bachman has worked tirelessly to better the world around him. Through his generous contributions, he has earned the respect and esteem of all who know him, and he is deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Demonstrating a sincere concern for the future of the area, Justin Bachman has given back to the community far more than he has gleaned, and his endeavors stand as the hallmark of responsible citizenship. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of people such as he that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state whose residents are responsive to the needs of others; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Justin Bachman on his exemplary record of service and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Justin Bachman.

I, Vincent L. Keeran, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of Senate Resolution No. 330, adopted by the Ohio Senate, May 7, 2014.
