A BILL
To enact section 2907.12 of the Revised Code to make 1
engaging in an act of sexual bestiality a criminal 2
offense.3


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1.  That section 2907.12 of the Revised Code be 4
enacted to read as follows:5

       Sec. 2907.12.  (A) No person shall engage in an act of sexual 6
bestiality. 7

       (B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of engaging in an 8
act of sexual bestiality. Engaging in an act of sexual bestiality 9
is a misdemeanor of the first degree or, if the offender 10
previously has been convicted of a violation of this section, a 11
felony of the fifth degree. 12

       (C) As used in this section, "sexual bestiality" means any 13
sex act between a person and an animal involving the genitals of 14
the one and the mouth, anus, or vagina of the other.15
