BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 121.531 of the Revised Code be | 6 |
enacted to read as follows: | 7 |
Sec. 121.531. No recipient or distributor of funds received | 8 |
under the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009," Pub. | 9 |
L. No. 111-5, 123 Stat. 115, shall spend such funds to purchase, | 10 |
produce, erect, or maintain signs identifying the American | 11 |
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 as the source of specific | 12 |
project funding. | 13 |
Section 2. This act is hereby declared to be an emergency | 14 |
measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public | 15 |
peace, health, and safety. The reason for such necessity is that | 16 |
as federal stimulus funds are being depleted, it is imperative | 17 |
that the funds be used to create jobs and stimulate economic | 18 |
growth in Ohio. Therefore, this act shall go into immediate | 19 |
effect. | 20 |
