STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 8705 IN SENATE May 10, 2018 ___________ Introduced by Sen. KENNEDY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to emergency medical technician certification requirements The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3002 of the public health law is amended by adding 2 a new subdivision 2-c to read as follows: 3 2-c. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation, the state council 4 shall permit an individual who is under the age of eighteen to be certi- 5 fied as an emergency medical technician if such individual is a member 6 of the armed forces of the United States. 7 § 2.
