        Introduced  by  Sen.  AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
        AN ACT in relation to authorizing the installation of stop signs at  the
          intersection  of 5th Avenue and the Whitestone Expressway Service Road
          in Whitestone, New York by the city of New York
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  The  commissioner  of  transportation  is  authorized and
     2  directed to direct the city of New York, if after an  investigation  and
     3  finding  such  stop signs are appropriate, to install all necessary stop
     4  signs at the intersection of 5th Avenue and  the  Whitestone  Expressway
     5  Service  Road  in  Whitestone, New York to effectuate an all-way stop at
     6  such intersection.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
     8  it shall have become a law; provided, however that the  commissioner  of
     9  transportation  is  hereby  authorized to promulgate all rules and regu-
    10  lations and take any other measures necessary to implement this  act  on
    11  its effective date.
