STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 6726 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE June 15, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. YOUNG -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend chapter 408 of the laws of 1999 constituting Kendra's law, in relation to extending the expiration thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 18 of chapter 408 of the laws of 1999, constituting 2 Kendra's Law, as amended by chapter 1 of the laws of 2013, is amended to 3 read as follows: 4 § 18. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that section 5 fifteen of this act shall take effect April 1, 2000, provided, further, 6 that subdivision (e) of section 9.60 of the mental hygiene law as added 7 by section six of this act shall be effective 90 days after this act 8 shall become law; and that this act shall expire and be deemed repealed 9 June 30, [2017] 2022. 10 § 2.
