       Introduced  by  Sen.  LITTLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
       AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  authorizing  massage
         therapists  licensed  in other jurisdictions to perform massage demon-
         strations as part of a continuing education program
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  7805 of the education law is amended by adding a
    2  new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
    3    6. A MASSAGE THERAPIST LICENSED  IN  ANOTHER  STATE  OR  COUNTRY  FROM
    4  CONDUCTING  A  TEACHING  DEMONSTRATION  IN  CONNECTION WITH A PROGRAM OF
    5  CONTINUING EDUCATION THAT IS CONDUCTED BY APPROVED SPONSORS OF  CONTINU-
    6  ING EDUCATION BY THE DEPARTMENT.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
