          printed to be committed to the Committee on  Energy  and  Telecommuni-
          cations

        AN  ACT  to amend the public service law, in relation to requiring every
          internet service provider to provide a list of the addresses served by
          such provider to the public service commission

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The public service law is amended by adding a new section
     2  119-d to read as follows:
     3    § 119-d. Internet service provider service area information. 1.  Every
     4  internet service provider shall provide to the commission a list of  all
     5  addresses  served  by such internet service provider. Such list shall be
     6  submitted to the commission in such form and manner as determined by the
     7  commission and shall be updated no less than annually.
     8    2. As used in this section, the term "internet service provider" shall
     9  mean any person, business or organization qualified to  do  business  in
    10  this  state  that  provides individuals, corporations, or other entities
    11  with the ability to connect to the internet through  equipment  that  is
    12  located in this state.
    13    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
