        Introduced  by Sen. CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Crime Victims,  Crime  and
          Correction
        AN  ACT  in  relation to the examination of an incarcerated individual's
          re-entry planning; and providing for the  repeal  of  such  provisions
          upon expiration thereof
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The office of temporary and disability assistance  and  the
     2  department of corrections and community supervision shall examine, eval-
     3  uate  and  make recommendations on current sanctions placed by the state
     4  and local social  services  districts  on  individuals  prior  to  their
     5  release  from  incarceration  as part of the individual's re-entry plan-
     6  ning. Such office and department shall direct  their  attention  to  the
     7  following, but not be limited to:
     8    (a) Housing;
     9    (b) Medical;
    10    (c) Psychological counseling;
    11    (d) Chemical dependency services;
    12    (e) Employment; and
    13    (f) Childcare services.
    14    § 2. The office of temporary and disability assistance and the depart-
    15  ment  of  corrections  and community supervision shall request and shall
    16  receive any available information from state and local agencies that are
    17  relevant and material to the study required by section one of this act.
    18    § 3. Within twelve months of the  effective  date  of  this  act,  the
    19  commissioner  of the office of temporary and disability services and the
    20  commissioner of the department of corrections and community  supervision
    21  shall  submit  a  report to the governor, the temporary president of the
    22  senate, the speaker of the assembly, the minority leader of  the  senate
    23  and  minority  leader  of  the  assembly  and the chairs of the relevant
    24  committees in both the senate and assembly, on such  office's  and  such
    25  department's  findings, conclusions and recommendations and shall submit
