       Introduced  by  Sen. MARTINS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
       AN ACT in relation to village justices in the  incorporated  village  of
         North Hills, county of Nassau
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provisions  of  any  other
    2  general  or  special law, in the event the incorporated village of North
    3  Hills, county of Nassau, has two village justices, it may also by resol-
    4  ution or local law, provide for an additional acting village justice  or
    5  in the event such village has one village justice, it may also by resol-
    6  ution or local law, provide for two acting village justices.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.
