       Introduced by Sen. MARCHIONE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
       AN ACT to amend the village law, in relation to the residency of certain
         officers of the village of Victory, county of Saratoga
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 3-300 of the village law is amended by adding a new
    2  subdivision 22 to read as follows:
    3    22. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CHAPTER OR ANY OTHER GENER-
    4  AL LAW, LOCAL LAW, ORDINANCE, OR SPECIAL ACT, THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUS-
    5  TEES OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF VICTORY, SARATOGA  COUNTY,  MAY,  BY
    6  RESOLUTION,   PROVIDE   THAT  THE  VILLAGE  CLERK-TREASURER  AND  DEPUTY
    7  CLERK-TREASURER OF THE VILLAGE OF VICTORY, SARATOGA COUNTY, NEED NOT  BE
    8  A  RESIDENT  OF  SUCH  VILLAGE,  BUT MUST BE A RESIDENT OF THE COUNTY OF
    9  SARATOGA, STATE OF NEW YORK, OR OF A COUNTY WHICH ADJOINS THE COUNTY  OF
   10  SARATOGA.
   11    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
