CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Consumer Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to requiring publishers of magazine subscriptions to disclose on the billing state- ments a customer service telephone number The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 335-a of the general business law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 3 1-a. Every publisher of a magazine sold by subscription shall disclose 4 by a notice on the billing statement or invoice of each magazine, mailed 5 pursuant to subscription, a customer service telephone number. Such 6 notice shall be printed or written in a clear and conspicuous form. 7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
