        Introduced  by  Sen.  SERINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to  clarifying  licensure
          requirements for schools which provide instruction in photography
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Paragraph f of subdivision 2 of section 5001 of the  educa-
     2  tion  law,  as amended by chapter 381 of the laws of 2012, is amended to
     3  read as follows:
     4    f. schools which provide instruction in the following  subjects  only:
     5  religion,  dancing,  music,  painting,  drawing, sculpture, photography,
     6  poetry, dramatic art,  languages,  reading  comprehension,  mathematics,
     7  recreation,  yoga,  martial  arts,  pilates and athletics, including the
     8  training of students to teach such  subjects,  provided,  however,  that
     9  schools conducted for the purpose of training personal trainers shall be
    10  excluded from this exemption and shall be required to obtain licensure;
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
