AMEDORE, FARLEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to authorizing the taking of big game in the county of Schenectady using a rifle; and providing for the repeal of provisions thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Item (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 2 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 141 of the 3 laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: 4 (d) Eastern region, Deer, first Monday Pistol, shotgun, 5 except Albany, after November 15 crossbow, 6 Columbia, Fulton, through first Tuesday muzzle loading 7 Orange, Rensselaer, after December 7 firearm or 8 Saratoga, SCHENECTADY, long bow only 9 Washington Counties 10 and those counties 11 or portions thereof 12 listed in item (i) 13 of this paragraph 14 S 2. Item (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 15 the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 14 of part EE 16 of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: 17 (d) Eastern region, Deer, first Monday Pistol, shotgun, 18 except Columbia, after November 15 crossbow, 19 Fulton, Orange, through first Tuesday muzzle loading 20 Rensselaer, Saratoga, after December 7 firearm or 21 SCHENECTADY, long bow only 22 Washington Counties 23 and those counties 24 or portions thereof EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. Item (e) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of 4 the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 14 of part EE 5 of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: 6 (e) Fulton, Saratoga, Deer, first Monday Pistol, rifle, 7 SCHENECTADY, after November 15 shotgun, crossbow 8 Washington (parts through first Tuesday or long bow 9 in the Southern after December 7 10 zone), Columbia, 11 Orange, and 12 Rensselaer 13 counties 14 S 4. Items (d) and (e) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 15 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 15 16 of part EE of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, are amended to read as 17 follows: 18 (d) Eastern region, Deer and bear, Pistol, shotgun, 19 except Columbia, first Monday after crossbow, 20 Fulton, Orange, November 15 through muzzle loading firearm 21 Rensselaer, Saratoga, first Tuesday after or long bow only 22 SCHENECTADY, December 7 23 Washington Counties 24 and those counties 25 or portions thereof 26 listed in item (i) 27 of this paragraph 28 (e) Fulton, Saratoga, Deer and bear, first Pistol, rifle, 29 SCHENECTADY, Monday after November shotgun, 30 Washington (parts 15 through first crossbow 31 in the Southern Tuesday after or long bow 32 zone), Columbia, December 7 33 Orange, and 34 Rensselaer 35 counties 36 S 5. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that: 37 (a) the amendments to item (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 38 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, made by section 39 one of this act, shall not affect the expiration and repeal of the 40 amendments thereto, made by chapter 141 of the laws of 2014, and shall 41 expire and be deemed repealed therewith, when upon such date section two 42 of this act shall take effect; 43 (b) the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 44 of the environmental conservation law, made by sections two and three of 45 this act, shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such para- 46 graph pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as 47 amended, when upon such date section four of this act shall take effect; 48 and 49 (c) nothing contained in this act shall be construed so as to extend 50 the provisions of this act beyond October 1, 2017, when upon such date 51 this act shall expire and the provisions contained herein shall be 52 deemed repealed.
