          cations  --  reported  favorably from said committee, ordered to first
          and second report, ordered to a third reading, passed  by  Senate  and
          delivered  to  the  Assembly, recalled, vote reconsidered, restored to
          third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its  place  in
          the order of third reading

        AN  ACT  to  amend the public service law, in relation to requiring vine
          trimming for the maintenance of utility poles

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The public service law is amended by adding a new section
     2  119-d to read as follows:
     3    § 119-d. Maintenance of utility poles.  On or before April first,  two
     4  thousand  twenty-four,  the  commission shall promulgate rules and regu-
     5  lations to require, in addition to  other  maintenance  procedures,  the
     6  trimming  of  vines on utility poles throughout the state by the utility
     7  company or cable television company that owns such  utility  pole  where
     8  such vine growth is likely to disrupt safe and reliable service.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
