ROBACH, CROCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- recommitted to the Committee on Transportation in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading -- passed by Senate and delivered to the Assembly, recalled, vote reconsidered, restored to third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating certain portions of the Lake Ontario State Parkway the "U.S. Navy Seabee Park- way" The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-e to 2 read as follows: 3 § 344-e. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the 4 "U.S. Navy Seabee Parkway". All that portion of the state highway system 5 constituting Lake Ontario State Parkway beginning at the intersection of 6 Greenleaf Road in the town of Greece, county of Monroe and the Lake 7 Ontario State Parkway, continuing west on such parkway and terminating 8 at the intersection of such parkway and E. Manitou Road in the town of 9 Greece in the county of Monroe, shall be designated and known as the 10 "U.S. Navy Seabee Parkway". 11 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal- 12 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system 13 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid 14 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig- 15 nation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of 16 ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not be 17 changed as a result of this act. 18 § 3.
