Senate Resolution No. 2623

        CONGRATULATING   Aidan  Cole  Di  Salvo  upon  the
        occasion of  receiving  the  distinguished  rank  of
        Eagle   Scout,  the  most  prestigious  of  Scouting
        honors, on June 4, 2022

  WHEREAS, Through his diligence and rigorous efforts, Aidan  Cole  Di
Salvo  has  achieved Scouting's highest and most prestigious rank, Eagle
Scout; the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will be held on Saturday,  June
4, 2022, at Holy Family Church, New Rochelle, New York; and

  WHEREAS, The son of Garr Di Salvo and Eileen O'Rourke, Aidan Cole Di
Salvo  is  a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 15, New Rochelle, New
York; and

  WHEREAS, A graduate of New Rochelle High School, Aidan Cole Di Salvo
was a member of numerous programs, such as, New Rochelle  High  School's
track and field team, National Honor Society and Ignite program; and

  WHEREAS,  Beginning  his  scouting  career  as  a  Tiger  Cub in New
Rochelle Cub Scout Pack 15, Aidan Cole Di Salvo Aidan, opted out  for  a
time  and  at  a  later  date,  rejoined Scouting; he ultimately assumed
several leadership roles in Troop 15 that culminated with  him  becoming
the Senior Patrol Leader; and

  WHEREAS,   With   a  steadfast  and  unwavering  commitment  to  his
community, Aidan Cole Di Salvo has given  tirelessly  of  his  time  and
energies  to  provide service to others, establishing a high standard of
excellence and purposefulness of life rarely achieved in youthful years;
and

  WHEREAS, America has achieved her greatest heights of glory  through
the  dedication,  determination, and tireless efforts of the outstanding
citizens of this Nation; and

  WHEREAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
youth, tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain her glory; and

  WHEREAS, The Boy Scouts of America and its members are dedicated  to
the development of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation;
and

  WHEREAS,  The  highest achievement of leadership in Scouting, earned
by approximately five percent of all Boy Scouts,  is  the  distinguished
rank of Eagle Scout; and

  WHEREAS,  This  outstanding  young man has been involved in Scouting
for many years, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has  attained  all
of  the  necessary  achievements,  including  completion  of a community
service project, which was successfully planned, developed and executed;
and

  WHEREAS, For his project, Aidan Cole Di Salvo painted and resurfaced
Maplewood Park in New Rochelle;  the  park's  basketball  court  was  in

disrepair  and  Aidan  painted the basketball court, the back boards and
replaced the nets; and

  WHEREAS,  In  addition, the ground of the open play area was leveled
to make it easier and safer for athletic activities;  he  removed  trash
and debris along the park's walking paths and trash cans were installed;
and

  WHEREAS, His dedication to the safety and well-being of the citizens
of   Westchester   County   is   represented  through  his  project  and
demonstrates his devotion to both community and  commitment  to  others;
and

  WHEREAS,  As  he  goes forward in his academic career, Aidan Cole Di
Salvo is a student at Northeastern University; he plans  on  pursuing  a
degree  in  Computer  Science  &  Computer  Engineering  with a minor in
Mathematics, while continuing the  ideals  and  principles  of  the  Boy
Scouts; and

  WHEREAS,  Aidan  Cole  Di Salvo's perseverance in rising through the
ranks to Eagle Scout is a strong indication of  his  ability  to  master
difficult  tasks;  his  accomplishment  will  enable  him to emerge as a
leader, fully  equipped  to  meet  the  challenges  of  today's  complex
society; and

  WHEREAS, This new Eagle Scout is a credit to his family, his school,
his community, his State and his Nation, and no doubt his future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance  of  this  meritorious  achievement,  to
congratulate  and  honor  Aidan  Cole  Di Salvo on achieving the rank of
Eagle Scout; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Aidan Cole Di Salvo.
