Senate Resolution No. 1031

        HONORING   Kellyann   Kostyal-Larrier   upon   the
        occasion of  her  designation  as  an  Advocate  for
        Justice  by  Legal  Services of the Hudson Valley on
        May 21, 2019

  WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize  and  acknowledge  those  within  our  midst  who  have   made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

  WHEREAS,  From  time  to  time  this  Legislative Body takes note of
certain  extraordinary  individuals  and  organizations  it  wishes   to
recognize  for their valued contributions to the success and progress of
society and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the
basic humanity among us all; and

  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly  proud  to  honor  Kellyann
Kostyal-Larrier  upon the occasion of her designation as an Advocate for
Justice by Legal Services of the Hudson Valley to be celebrated  at  its
3rd  Annual  Orange & Sullivan Partners in Justice Reception on Tuesday,
May 21, 2019; and

  WHEREAS, Kellyann  Kostyal-Larrier  currently  serves  as  Executive
Director   of   Safe   Homes   of   Orange  County,  the  only  private,
not-for-profit agency in Orange County, New York, dedicated to assisting
survivors  of  domestic  violence,  teen-dating  violence,   and   human
trafficking by providing free and confidential services; and

  WHEREAS,  Under  the luminous direction of Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier,
Safe Homes of Orange County works tirelessly toward the  elimination  of
intimate  partner  violence,  teen-dating  violence,  and trafficking by
providing comprehensive support services to victims and their  children,
and  by  increasing  public awareness about these issues and encouraging
accountability for perpetrators; and

  WHEREAS, The success of Safe Homes of Orange  County  is  in  direct
correlation   to   the   efforts   of  Kellyann  Kostyal-Larrier,  whose
involvement is, and always has  been,  characterized  by  an  impressive
commitment,  an  unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors  on  behalf  of  the  organization  and  the
community it serves; and

  WHEREAS,  Rare  indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier  has
displayed throughout her life; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are  brought  to  our
attention,  they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Kellyann  Kostyal-Larrier upon the occasion of her designation as

an Advocate for Justice by Legal Services of the Hudson  Valley  on  May
21, 2019; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier.
