        CONGRATULATING  Sarah Haddock upon the occasion of
        receiving  the  Girl  Scout  Silver  Award,  Cadette
        Scouting's  highest award and Girl Scouting's second
        highest achievement

  WHEREAS, Sarah Haddock, through her diligence and rigorous  efforts,
has  achieved  Cadette  Scouting's  highest  and  Girl Scouting's second
highest  achievement,  the  Silver  Award;  the  Willistons,  Albertson,
Roslyn, Mineola (W.A.R.M.) Girl Scout Association Award Ceremony will be
held  on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Chaminade High School's Activity
Athletic Center in Mineola, New York; and

  WHEREAS, Sarah Haddock is a member of the  Girl  Scouts  of  America
Troop 1022; and

  WHEREAS,  Girl  Scouting has cultivated in our Nation's young people
the goals of building solid values of sisterhood and the  importance  of
working  with  others, stimulating both mind and body, instilling pride,
and encouraging community service and success; and

  WHEREAS, Girl Scouting has expanded the horizons  of  the  countless
hundreds  of  thousands who have participated in Scouting programs which
have made Scouting an American and international institution; and

  WHEREAS, In 2020, Sarah Haddock completed a Silver  Award  community
service project which she planned, developed and executed along with two
of  her  fellow  Scouts; their project was entitled, Purple Project, and
helped  support  those  in  the  hospital  dealing  with  Dementia   and
Alzheimer's disease; and

  WHEREAS,  The  Silver  Award is earned over a two-year period and is
tangible evidence of Sarah Haddock's high character and commitment; and

  WHEREAS, Sarah Haddock is a credit to her family,  her  school,  her
community,  her  State  and  her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
congratulate  Sarah  Haddock, recognizing her achievement in earning the
Girl Scout Silver Award, and to wish her continued success  in  all  her
future endeavors; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sarah Haddock.
