STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10040 IN ASSEMBLY March 4, 2020 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. MAGNARELLI, STIRPE, HUNTER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to the number of grand jury stenographers that the district attorney may appoint in the coun- ty of Onondaga The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision e of section 321 of the judiciary law, as added 2 by chapter 726 of the laws of 1975, is amended to read as follows: 3 e. In the county of Onondaga, it shall be lawful for the district 4 attorney of said county to appoint [three] five stenographers, each of 5 whom shall have authority to take and transcribe the testimony given 6 before the grand juries in the said county of Onondaga, and such 7 appointments shall be in writing under the hand and seal of such 8 district attorney, and shall be filed in the county clerk's office in 9 the county of Onondaga. 10 § 2.
