       AN ACT to amend chapter 381 of the laws of 2012, amending the  education
         law  relating  to  the  licensure  of  private proprietary schools, in
         relation to the effectiveness thereof
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 12 of chapter 381 of the laws of 2012, amending the
    2  education  law relating to the licensure of private proprietary schools,
    3  is amended to read as follows:
    4    S 12. This act shall take effect on  the  one  hundred  twentieth  day
    5  after  it  shall have become a law; provided, however, that subparagraph
    6  (iv) of paragraph b of subdivision 4 of section 5001  of  the  education
    7  law,  as  added by section three of this act, shall expire and be deemed
    8  repealed [three] SIX years after  such  effective  date;  and  provided,
    9  further,  that  paragraph  g  of  subdivision  10 of section 5007 of the
   10  education law, as amended by section eight of this act shall not  affect
   11  the repeal of such paragraph and shall be deemed repealed therewith; and
   12  provided,  further,  that  effective  immediately,  the  commissioner of
   13  education is authorized and directed to promulgate any regulations need-
   14  ed to implement the provisions of this act on such effective date.
   15    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
