       AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to the definition of "danger-
         ous contraband"
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 205.00 of the penal law is amended
    2  to read as follows:
    3    4. "Dangerous contraband" means contraband, INCLUDING  ANY  AMOUNT  OF
    4  MARIJUANA,  NARCOTIC  OR  CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, which is capable of such
    5  use as may endanger the safety or security of a  detention  facility  or
    6  any person therein.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.
