        Introduced by M. of A. GRIFFIN, DARLING -- read once and referred to the
          Committee  on Education -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered
          reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee

        AN ACT relating to  legalizing,  validating,  ratifying  and  confirming
          transportation  contracts  for  the  West  Hempstead Union Free school
          district

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
     2  or caused to be had and taken by the West Hempstead  Union  Free  School
     3  District  and  by  all  officers,  employees  or  agents  of such school
     4  district relating to or  in  connection  with  transportation  contracts
     5  E252155,  E272281, C415916, E252157, C515014, E252153, C415915, E276672,
     6  C415913, E275266, C515015, C415914, E276668, E260973, E272280,  E275265,
     7  C515016,  E272278, E272277, E275268, E276670, E273089, E276669, C515017,
     8  E276667, E611132, E267596, E270763, E272275, E275271,  E272283,  E272285
     9  and E275267 of the 2017-2018 school year, and all acts incidental hereto
    10  are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding
    11  any  failure  to  comply  with  the  contract award, approval and filing
    12  provisions of the education law, the general municipal law or any  other
    13  law  or  any  other  statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than
    14  those filing provisions defined in  paragraph  a  of  subdivision  5  of
    15  section  3604  of the education law, in relation to any omission, error,
    16  defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken.
    17    § 2. The department of education is hereby directed  to  consider  the
    18  aforementioned  contracts  for  transportation  aid  as valid and proper
    19  obligations of the West Hempstead Union Free School District.
    20    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
