        Introduced by M. of A. REILLY -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on  Transportation  --  committee  discharged,  bill  amended, ordered
          reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee

        AN ACT in relation to directing the metropolitan transportation authori-
          ty to rename the Eltingville transit center the Iraq War and Afghanis-
          tan War Veterans' Memorial Transit Center

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The Eltingville transit center of the metropolitan trans-
     2  portation authority is hereby named the Iraq  War  and  Afghanistan  War
     3  Veterans'  Memorial  Transit  Center.    The metropolitan transportation
     4  authority shall ensure that all signs, maps, and any other items  issued
     5  by  the  metropolitan transportation authority are updated to accurately
     6  reflect the new name of the center within such time and in  such  manner
     7  as the metropolitan transportation authority shall deem appropriate.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
